The PV-Boat and PV-Agri pilot projects represent a transformative step towards sustainable development in small islands like Rote and Semau in NTT, and Kaledupa in Southeast Sulawesi. By harnessing solar power for transportation and agriculture, these projects demonstrate how renewable energy solutions can directly benefit local communities. The PV-Boat promotes eco-friendly transport for fishermen and tourists, while PV-Agri helps farmers increase crop yields with solar-powered irrigation. These initiatives not only reduce carbon emissions but also improve local livelihoods and set the stage for broader renewable energy adoption across Indonesia’s remote regions.
