Providing clean energy access to small islands through the expansion of renewable energy: strengthening decentralized energy regulations, supporting PLN’s system planning and operation for high VRE integration, and promoting pilot projects with the private sector. Implemented by GIZ with support from IKI/BMWK in partnership with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (DG NREEC & DGE) and PLN.
Identifies and analyses the most cost-effective renewable energy options to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Indonesia, providing data-driven insights to guide policy and investment decisions. Implemented by GIZ with support from IKI/BMWK, in partnership with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Promotes clean energy access in rural Indonesia through renewable mini-grids, sharing knowledge and technical expertise with partner countries under a South-South Triangular Cooperation framework.
